what's so bad about processed food ?

1. Having Processed foods can lead people eating more than the recommended amounts of sugars, salts & fat as they may not be aware of how much has been added to the food they are buying & eating.

2. When a food is processed it is taken out of its natural state. During this process, the food is damaged & loses its nutrition.

3. Many unhealthy ingredients are added to it to make it more delicious, attractive &durable such as preservatives, artificial food colours & high

fructose corn syrup. These food additives harm our health in the long run.

4. Chemically altered Processed foods have often been stripped of their fibre in processing, leading to quicker digestion which leads your body to feel less satisfied & crave more. Whereas soluble fibre has many benefits

like maintaining satiety with fewer calories & slowing down the absorption of carbohydrates.

Processed foods are not real foods. However as nowadays it is nearly next to impossible to avoid processed foods completely from your diet.

So try to limit its intake not more than 20% in your daily diet.

You should not only limit its intake when you are shredding fat or building muscles but should aim to increase your efficiency & performance on a day to day basis.
